Our Journey

From humble beginnings

Clear Creek Inn was born as a gathering place for friends and family. Location was important, so when Lloyd and Sam Yanis began this journey, they focused on a safe and accessible mountain location for their family first. Close enough to Denver and a large airport, but not too close as to lose the charm. Close to ski resorts, hikes, and pristine valleys and streams but with the convenience to make a business viable.

This humble, salmon colored house formed the basis of Clear Creek Inn with the reassuring sound of the river flowing by.

Today

A space we're proud of

Clear Creek Inn opened in the Summer of 2019. Since then, we've hosted guests from all over the world on their ski trip, business trip, wedding, and more. Whether it is summer or winter, Georgetown strikes the balance between rest when you need it and everything else when you don't.

In summer, we're hiking, wandering through georgetown, and exploring the mountains. In winter, we're skiing and enjoying time with family and friends around the fire.

Welcome to the Clear Creek Inn.

About Georgetown & The Front Range

Georgetown traces its roots to the mid 1800's during the gold rush. Initially founded on gold discovery, the towns prosperity grew due to the 1864 discovery of the Belmost silver lode. Many of the town's current buildings, such as the courthouse, Bowman-White house, and Georgetown Loop Railroad originated in this time period of expansive growth. At one point before the collapse of the Silver Boom, Georgetown's population exceeded 10,000. But it declined sharply until the mid 1950's as skiers descended into the Rocky Mountains.

Today, Georgetown has retained its rustic charm amidst the snowcapped peaks that define it. Quiet yet curious, charming yet effervescent, Georgetown has continued to host those seeking the mountain lifestyle.

With a strong focus on community, hospitality, and mountain scenery, it has proved over and over again to be a great mountain town. Whether you want to hike, climb, or have a beer by the lake, Georgetown has you covered with an array of activities. And your hosts are happy to help you discover the area with suggestions.

Know before you go

Weather in the front range can change quickly and violently in both Summer and Winter, especially in alpine zones. Avalanches pose significant hazards during peak winter months.

Make sure youre prepared for hiking or skiing by checking weather frequently. Check avalanche forecasts with CAIC, carry proper backcountry gear, clothing, and food, travel with experienced partners, get avalanche education. Know your limits and be prepared to turn back if weather or fatique sets in.

Ask your hosts for more information on weather, gear, or avalanche information!
